North Java - Tracy A. Shiltz, 58 of North Java passed away Friday (October 2, 2026) at home following a brief battle with cancer.
Tracy was born October 10, 1967 in Warsaw, a son of Linda (Schloss) Shiltz of Strykersville and the late Francis Shiltz.
Tracy was a member of Six Star Post American Legion in Strykersville and enjoyed listening to Tradio. A true jack of all trades, he was mechanically inclined and could often be found working on one project or another. In his free time, Tracy enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and riding three-wheelers. He was also an animal lover and had a special place in his heart for dogs.
Surviving along with his mother is his beloved life partner, Cheryl "Bags" Kohl of North Java; sister, Amy (Todd) Meisner of Attica; brother, Gregory (Julie Hoefer) Shiltz of Orchard Park; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Jeremy) Ammerman, Alexis (Tomy) Meisner, Devin and Daynin Shiltz, and Matthew Hoefer; great-niece and nephews, Mia, Myles, and Dallas.
Tracy is reunited in death with his father; brother, Michael Shiltz; and his canine companions, Rebecca, Martin, Calvert, and Rocky.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday (October 10, 2026) on what would have been Tracy's 59th birthday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Parish - St. Cecilia's Worship Site, 991 Centerline Road in Sheldon. Tracy's Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Tracy will be laid to rest with his father and brother in St. Cecilia's Cemetery in Sheldon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, New York 10598.
