Warsaw - Susan L. Carpenter, 71 of Warsaw passed away on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Carpenter was born November 6, 1954 in Patchogue, New York, a daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Sequino) Altrui.

Susan was a fighter. She contracted MS around the age of 30, but continued to live her life up until the end, unwilling to complain about the lot she had been given. She had faith in God and His promises, and it could not be shaken. She loved her children, she loved her grandchildren, and most of all, she loved the Lord. She was faithful to the end, and now she has entered into her reward.

Surviving are her children, Rev. Christopher (Emily) Carpenter of Warsaw and Deanna Carpenter of Brooksville, Florida; a sister, Nancy Altrui of North Carolina. Five grandchildren also survive.

Along with her parents, Susan is reunited in death with her husband, Fredrick P. Carpenter who passed away in 2008, and her brother, Fred (late Gloria "Jeanie") Altrui.

A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Attica. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial contribution to Christ Church Batavia, 101 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, New York 14020.
