Ruth Hulshoff

Ruth M. (Brady) Hulshoff, 91, of Alexander, passed away on September 17, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 29, 1935 in Attica, a daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude (Kelly) Brady.

Ruth was a devoted member of the Alexander Ladies Auxiliary, where she catered many of their banquets, and proudly served her community as a member of the Alexander Town Board and as the Town Supervisor.

Her faith in Christ was a foundational part of her life which she lived and shared daily. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting and the beauty of the flowers in her garden. Above all, Ruth was devoted to her family and time spent with them was her greatest joy. She was a source of inspiration and unconditional love to all that knew her. Ruth provided sanctuary for many people during turbulent times and had a profound impact on their lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hulshoff; grandson; Kage (Elizabeth) Hulshoff; Courtney Hatt, great grandchildren, Jade Hinrich, Ellie Metz, Aaron Hatt, nieces, nephews and many more who knew her affectionately as "Gram".

In death Ruth is reunited with her husband, Robert Hulshoff; sons, Richard (Andrea) Hulshoff and Robbie Hulshoff; great grandson, Tyler Hatt; siblings Rita (Ted) Spanitz, Janet Spencer, Pattie Brady, Leo (Amelia) Brady, and Edward (Joanne) Brady.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica. There are no services at this time.
