Roger James Tharnish, age 69, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026.

Roger was born on March 30, 1957, in Buffalo, a son of the late Winfield and Lois (James) Tharnish. Roger lived a life deeply rooted in his love for family and the great outdoors.

An avid outdoorsman, Roger found his greatest joy in nature. Whether he was fishing on a quiet lake, hunting in the woods, or tending to his vibrant garden, he embraced the peace and beauty of the world around him. His passion for the outdoors and his dedication to his family leave a lasting legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Roger is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 47 years, Diana Tharnish, and his three daughters, Amie (Matt), Lisa (David), and Lori (Tommy). He was a doting grandpa to his seven grandchildren, Kadence, Sav, Mercury (Lisaida), Sierra, Talas, Anabelle, and Billy, who will all deeply miss their grandpa's presence and guidance. He also leaves behind his two brothers, Robert (Lou) Tharnish and Richard Tharnish, his sister, Barbara Hidalgo, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica, NY 14011. Roger will be laid to rest in Cowlesville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
