Robert E. Gutowski

Bennington - Robert E. Gutowski, 83 of Bennington, passed away on Wednesday (July 29, 2026) at Elderwood at Lancaster following a brief illness.

Mr. Gutowski was born December 16, 1942 in Buffalo, the son of the late Edward and Regina (Fronczak) Gutowski.

Robert was a parishioner of St. John Neumann Parish - St. Joseph's Worship Site in Varysburg. He enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycle.

Surviving is his wife, Diane (Swistowski) Gutowski; daughters, Carolyn (Leo) Inman, and Lisa (Andrew) Deahn all of Bennington. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Along with his parents, Robert is reunited in death with his son, Jason Gutowski.

There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend Robert's Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (August 5, 2026) at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Parish - St. Joseph's Worship Site, 2311 NY-98 in Varysburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Varysburg. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the church.
