Paul "Pappy" Stringham

Paul F. “Pappy” Stringham, 79 of Bennington passed on to better hunting grounds late Tuesday evening November 3, 2016.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman and deer hunter. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips throughout the country, always with good friends and family. Paul retired in 1999 from The Department of Corrections. During his 32 years of service he achieved the Rank of Lieutenant. Paul also served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ellen Stringham. He was the brother of Beverly Wise and Father to Beth Stringham (William Sheperd); Fredrick Stringham; David (Debra) Best; Paula Jo Carney; Kevin Stringham; Brenda Mori (fiancé Scott Korzon); nine grandchildren Eliza; Emily; Heather; Ron; Caryn; Dalton; Corinne; Kyle and Mason; three great-grandchildren Lydia; Alena and Hailey Jo.

Friends are invited to call on Monday November 7, 2016 from 2-7 PM at Marley Funeral Home LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. A 10:00 AM Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday November 8, 2016 at the Funeral Home. Camouflaged Attire is encouraged. He will be laid to rest in Summit View Cemetery in Bennington, New York.
