Attica- Paul V. Murphy passed away peacefully September 22, 2025, one day shy of his 91 st birthday, at Charlotte House Comfort Care, North Java, NY, not far from the farm where he was born.
He was born September 23, 1934 in Johnsonburg to late Ernest and Mattie (Meyers) Murphy, child number 10 of 12.
Paul is predeceased by his wife Beverly (Keicher), his siblings: Teresa Murphy, Estella (late Edward) Petrie, Viola Murphy, Joseph (late Susie) Murphy, Sister Mary Patrick Murphy, Genevieve (late Donald) Burlingame, Mary Frances (late Edward) Reynolds, Charles (late Marion) Murphy, and Rita Murphy.
Paul is survived by his daughters: Sally (James) Woods and Doris Murphy; grandchildren, Paul (Danielle) Woods, Michael (Eliza) Woods, Molly (Steven) Diven, and Nicholas (Tori LeClair) Woods; great-grandchildren: Addison & Emmett Diven; siblings: Norman (Mary Ann) Murphy and Doris (late Arnie) DuPont; special friends: Ivan Boss, Tom & Donna Kibler & family; several nieces and nephews, in-laws, and card-playing friends.
Extra thanks to Charlotte House, Bennington Volunteer Fire & Rescue, and all those who helped care for Paul.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica, New York 14011. A memorial mass and celebration of life will take place in the spring 2026.
