Patrick Nolan

Dec 20, 1963 — Oct 31, 2026

Patrick A. "Louie" Nolan, 61, of Alexander, passed away on October 31, 2026, at Buffalo General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Known affectionately as "Louie" to his immediate family and many friends and neighbors in Oakfield, where he was raised, Patrick was a familiar face whose hardworking nature and friendly spirit touched many lives.

Patrick was born on December 20, 1964, in Buffalo, the son of the late Michael Nolan and Nancy (Brauen) Nolan.

Patrick was a dedicated and hardworking man whose talent for fixing, building, and problem-solving, along with his determination and practical wisdom, earned the respect of all who knew him. He began working at Lamb's Farm while still in high school, where he developed many of the skills and practical knowledge that would serve him throughout his life. He later worked as a Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) for the Town of Alexander Highway Department and then as an MEO for the Genesee County Department of Public Works. Patrick was a member of the NRA, the Western New York Gas & Steam Engine Association (WNYGSEA), and proudly served as a driver for the Alexander Fireman's Band. In his free time, he found great enjoyment in hunting, camping, collecting cast iron pans, and treasure hunting at flea markets, where he loved the excitement of discovering something special. Patrick valued life's simple pleasures and found joy in the hobbies, interests, and friendships that helped shape who he was.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Florence "Flo" (Huber) Nolan; his children, Dustin Nolan, Cody Nolan, Chelsea (Josh) Carier, and Kathleen (Seth) Greene; his grandchildren, Austin and McKenzie Carier; his siblings, Margaret Smith, Barbara (Michael) Capel, Kimberly (Mark) Dickes, and Sandy (Christopher Woodrow) Nolan; and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Michael Nolan, and his brother, Timothy Nolan.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Attica. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
