Mildred L. Waite, 95 of Alexander, passed away on Sunday (September 14, 2025) at Eastside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw.
Millie was born May 1, 1930, in Pavilion, New York, a daughter of the late Richard and Ethel (Keating) Lacey.
She graduated from Wyoming Central School in 1948. Millie worked as a switchboard operator for Rochester Telephone Co., Warsaw, and later as a clerk at the Wyoming Rexall Drug Store, Warsaw, until becoming a full-time homemaker. She was married to her first husband, William Fuller, in 1952 until his passing in 1964. Mildred later married Richard Waite in 1974 until his passing in 2007.
Millie enjoyed reading, crosswords, and word search puzzles, and playing Rummy. She was quick to teach anyone new card games and play for long stretches. Most of all, Millie cherished her children and spending time with her family.
Surviving is her daughter, Rebecca (Guy) Nichols; stepchildren, Linda (Joseph) Conklin, and William (Cheryl) Waite; daughter-in-law, Irene(late Brian) Fuller; grandchildren, Devon Marie (Patrick) Miller, Ryan Fuller, Tyler Fuller, Michelle (Peter) Marshall, and Alex Waite; great grandchildren, Lydia, Lauren, and Lucas Miller, Abbey Vincent, Anna Vincent, Allie Marshall, Sophia Waite, and Bentley Waite; sister-in-law, Carol Waite, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins
Along with her parents, Mildred is reunited in death with he first husband, William Fuller (1964); second husband, Richard Waite (2007); son, Brian Fuller (2010); siblings, Robert (Betty) Lacey, Mary Lacey, Edna (Clayton) Ewell, and Margaret (Alfred) Burns.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569. Mildred’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 171 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Warsaw.
Millie’s family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Eastside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care and support, the staff at Johnny's Angels Home Helpers for their wonderful care over the years, and the Genesee County Office of the Aging Home Delivered Meals for their tremendous service provided and wonderful drivers, who delivered to Millie each day.
