He remained connected to his fellow veterans as a member of the Attica American Legion and the Perry Veterans Club. Michael dedicated many years of hard work to CSX Railroad in Buffalo before retiring. Through his service and his work, he built a life defined by dedication, commitment, and pride in the people and community around him.

He cherished the peace and adventure that came with being outdoors, but above all, Michael's greatest joy was his family. The time he spent with those he loved most was what mattered to him, and he treasured the memories made together. His love for his family was at the heart of everything he did and will remain a lasting part of his memory.
