He worked for GTE Sylvania, from which he retired, and after he and Linda chose to pursue separate interests, Mike moved to the central New York area to work at TRW. Mike was a highly social person who enjoyed hobbies that allowed him the opportunity to spend time with friends and family. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending a peaceful day by the water. He was always a loyal Buffalo Bills fan, cheering them on, win or lose.
