Mary Beechler

Mary Alma Beechler, 97, of Attica, passed away at United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia, on June 22, 2026. She was born on October 26, 1928, in Attica, a daughter of the late Elmo and Loretta (Petz) Reding.

Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. A longtime member of St. Vincent's Church, where she volunteered countless hours helping with church dinners and other activities. She was known for her caring and selfless nature. Above all, she was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved.

Mary is survived by her children, Carol (Raymond) Sanfratello, James Beechler, Janice (Scott) Van Son, and daughter-in-law, Maurine Beechler. Grandchildren, Amy Beechler, Aaron Beechler, Kara (Shawn) Hill, Kayla Sanfratello, Ryan (Sarah) Sanfratello, Samantha Beechler, Dominic Beechler, Elias Van Son, Chase Van Son, and Evan Van Son. Great-grandchildren, Corban Sanfratello, Aydan Sanfratello, Nora Hill, and Nolan Hill. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (JoAnn) Reding.

Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Lavern Beechler, and sons Bernard and David Beechler.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Ss. Joachim & Anne (St. Vincent Worship Site, Attica), 50 East Ave., Attica, NY, 14011, on Saturday, July 11 th at 10:00 AM. A private family burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery, Attica.
