It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lloyd A. Reiner Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on Tuesday, March 30th, 1943, in Buffalo, Lloyd was a cherished resident of Alden.
Lloyd dedicated 30 years of his career as a General Foreman and water/sewer plant operator for the Village of Alden and after retirement at The Village of Alden Estates. A proud veteran, Lloyd served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserves.
A man of many talents, Lloyd had a passion for woodworking. He took immense pride in building his own home, garage and barn. Lloyd also harbored a keen interest in NASA and was eagerly anticipating the launch of Artemis II, a testament to his wonder for the universe. He enjoyed driving around with Linda in his Corvette. You could often find him sitting in front of his garage, waving to everyone who passed by or stopped by for a visit when they saw he was out.
Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 61 years, Linda C. Fugle Reiner. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, marrying on February 6, 1965. He leaves behind his loving children: Jerry (Jodi) Reiner of Akron, Steven (Carolanna) Reiner of Akron, and Tammy (Mark) Burry of Attica. Lloyd was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Amanda (Tyler) Smith, Ashley (Logan) Reiner, Steven Reiner, Cody (Alexa) Burry, and Lucas Burry, and a great-grandfather to Holly and Madison Smith. Lloyd is also survived by his siblings, Dennis (Barb) Reiner of Bennington, Margie (Robert) Burzynski of Alden, and Cathy (Larry) LaDuca of Alden, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd A. Reiner Sr. and Alene Ingersoll Reiner, his beloved daughter, Sherry Ann Reiner, his grandson, Nicholas Lloyd Burry, and his brother, Lyle Reiner.
