Laura Mary Gordon

The family is saddened to announce the passing of Laura M. Gordon, 91, of Warsaw NY, formerly from Attica, NY, on May 1, 2026.

Laura was born to Edward and Eleanor (Mack) Zimmerman on June 26, 1934 in Warren, PA. She was the fifth of seven children and Daddy's darling daughter.

Mary as family and friends knew, was a graduate of Warren High School in 1953. She seriously studied business and made a livelyhood of her schooling.

She retired from NYS Corrections as a civilian employee and a part time employee at Darien Lake Theme Park as a dedicated cash controller.

She cooked, baked, canned, and processed food from childhood through her adult life. If you left the table hungry, it was your own fault. Her cookies and pies made her legendary in the area, making cookie platters at Christmas for decades.

She leaves behind her daughters, Tracy L. Gordon (Kenneth Williams) of Warren, PA, and Lana M. Fisher of Stafford, NY; grandchildren, Fawn M Pfohl (Nena) of Virginia Beach, VA, Robyn Mancillias of San Antonia, TX, Benjamin J. Carter (Susie) of North Tonawanda, NY, Braxton Warner of North Tonawanda, NY, Briannon J. Fisher of Braselton, GA, Daniel Gordon of Cato, NY; greatgrandchildren, Carolyne Wilson, Rachel Wilson, and Eli Mancillias of San Antonio, TX, Jackson and Theodore Carter of North Tonawanda, NY; sisters, Jean Salman of Georgia and Elsie Bechenhach of New York; numerous nieces and nephews of multiple states; son in law, Todd Fisher of Warsaw and daughter in law, Ellen Brown of Cato, NY; her angels, Jeanne Kerwin and Jack Carter of Attica, NY.

She is predeceased by her parents; son, Gary (Chip) Gordon Jr.; husbands, Gary Gordon Sr. and Donald Gordon siblings, Robert and Raymond Zimmerman, Bette McFadyen, and Dorothy North; Infant grandson, Robert Sprayberry.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm at Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica. Laura's funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at Marley Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
