Ivan Boss

Feb 23, 1934 — Oct 3, 2026

Ivan P. "Ike" Boss Jr., 92 of Attica, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia with his son, Philip, by his side.

He was born in Attica on February 23, 1934, to the late Ivan Sr. and late Harriett (Barnes) Boss.

For many years, Mr. Boss devoted himself to his work, owning a dairy farm, the farm manager at Attica Correctional Facility and Wyoming Correctional Facility and after retirement he worked for Goodridge Farm Supply, where he took great pride in the work he did and the people he came to know along the way. He belonged to the Attica United Methodist Church and was a cherished member of the Attica Golf Club, Quiet Times Golf Course, and Attica Lions Club. Ike found great joy in pheasant hunting, the freedom of riding his motorcycles, and the warmth of good company at Louie's, Alex's Place, and Romans. He especially cherished his Saturday mornings at the Prospector, where he could always be found sharing breakfast, stories, and laughter with his dear friends.

But above all else, Mr. Boss treasured his family. They were the heart of his world and his greatest source of love and happiness. His family was his pride and joy, and the love he gave them will live on in their hearts and memories forever.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Grace Strollo of Batavia, his children, Michelle Boss of East Bethany; Philip Boss of East Bethany; Luanne (Neil) Jacobs of Batavia; step-children Brenda (Thomas) Parkes of Victor; Richard (Cheryl) Norton of Murphy, NC; Randall (Tilma) Norton of Palm Bay, FL; sister in law, Sue Boss of Tennessee and Sarah Rich of Florida; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

In death Ike is reunited with his loving wife, Nancy Boss; parents, Ivan Sr. and Harriett Boss; sister, Beverly Mancuso and brother, Donald Boss.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow at Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica, NY 14011. He will be laid to rest, at a private ceremony, next to his wife in Forest Hill Cemetery in Attica.
