Gloria M. Burek

Gloria M. Burek, 90, of Cowlesville, NY, passed May 24, 2020. Gloria was born to William Nowakowski and Martha Kozubska, January 6, 1930, in Buffalo, New York. She married Edward P. in 1947, and they lived together in Cowlesville, New York. Together they raised 7 children.

She leaves as her legacy 7 children: Edward P. Burek, Catherine A (Keith) Gildner, Robert A (Georgia) Burek, John A (Loraine) Burek, Michael W (Kimberly) Burek, Paul C (Brandy) Burek, Steven A Burek. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, Victorya, Whitney, Kelli, John Jr, Ashley, Joseph, Evan, Christopher, Stephanie, Benjamin, Taylor, Tanner, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her children remember her as a strong hard working wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by Edward P Burek, (Husband), Raymond C Nowakowski, (Brother), Dorothy Ziolkowski, (Sister), Shawn A Burek, (Grandson), and Rachellyn G Burek , (Granddaughter).

There will be no prior calling hours, a graveside service will be held for the immediate family. She will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bennington, NY.

The family would like to thank the Harris Corners Volunteer Fire Department and the Strykersville Volunteer Ambulance for their immediate response.
