Gary J. Muench

Alden - Gary J. Muench, 66 of Alden, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo.

Gary was born January 1, 1960 in Darien, a son of the late Donald and Susan (Adolf) Muench.

He was very active with the Alexander Steam Show where he was a good friend and always willing to lend a hand.

Surviving are his siblings, David (Karen) Muench of Elma, Daniel (Lucinda) Muench of Darien Center, Janet (David) Schie of Varysburg, and Jennifer (Donald) Sudbury of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with Gary's wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make a memorial contribution to the WNY Gas & Steam Engine Association, PO BOX 75, Alexander, New York 14005 in Gary's memory.
