Frederick M. Seiferth, age 88, of Cowlesville, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1936 to the late Martin and Thekla (Fendt) Seiferth and beloved husband of the late Diana (Zalewski) Seiferth, father of the late James "Jimbo" Seiferth and brother of the late Martin Seiferth.
After graduation from Buffalo High School, Fred married his high school sweetheart on August 8, 1960. Soon after, he was drafted into the United States Army, went to Officer Candidate School (OCS) and served as Tank Platoon Leader with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
Fred was a devout and God fearing Christian. He loved his family and marriage of 58 years, the military, his 32 year career with AT&T as a fiber optic cable technician, the USA, nature and animals (especially German Shepherd dogs).
He was a member of the Buffalo Clutch Artists and enjoyed cars and hunting and fishing with his sons. He was proud of his cottage on Rushford Lake and cherished vacationing there in the summer.
Fred is survived by his children, Pauline (Thomas) Trickey of Piffard; Diana M. (Donald Held) Seiferth of Dalton; David (Annette) Seiferth of North Port, FL; Frederick J (Jennifer) Seiferth of Lewisberry, PA; sister Barbara Seiferth of Amherst; brother Peter (Bonnie) Seiferth of Sun Lakes, AZ; sister-in-law Nancy and the late brother-in-law Len Kotarski of Lackawanna; grandchildren Matthew, Timothy, Jacob and Chase and many nephews and nieces.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Attica. There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at Folsomdale Baptist Church, 1366 Folsomdale Road, Cowlesville, NY 14037 on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11 am.
