Diane Ryan

Diane Piechocki Ryan, 75, of Ocala, Florida and formerly Darien Center, New York passed away on Dec. 25, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved daughter of Leonard Piechocki Sr. and Jennie (Price) Piechocki of Alexander, New York.

Diane graduated from Alexander Central School and went to Geneseo where she earned her degree in elementary education. Diane began her teaching career in North Carolina as a kindergarten teacher, then moved to New York where she completed over 25 years at Attica Elementary School, retiring in 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Ryan, son Chad Ryan and daughter-in-law Nicole, three grandchildren (Jake, Austin, and Jayden), and two sisters (Jean and Suzanne). She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Jr,, Robert, and John.

Known for her warmth and compassion, she brought joy to family gatherings and everyday moments. Her legacy lives on in the people she loved and the memories she helped create.

A graveside service will be held on May 2 at 1 p.m. at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Attica.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life at Grandpa’s Barn on Drybridge Road in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stephens Memorial Library in Attica, a cause close to her heart.

Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who supported her and continue to monitor her memory.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
