Warsaw, NY – Dianne I. Bruggman, 86, of Attica, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw.
Dianne was born July 7, 1939, in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Milton and Elsie (Pollinger) Ignatz.
Dianne was a long-time member of St. Vincent's church in Attica, Catholic Daughters, Marriage Encounter organization, Sweet Adelines, and Batavia Twirlers. She worked for 30 years in Migrant Education for the Batavia School System until her retirement in 2005. Dianne was also a 4-H and CCD Leader. She enjoyed music, sewing, dancing, singing, reading, baking, cooking (the world’s best gravy!), and tending her flower garden. Above all, Dianne cherished her family and thrived in the raising and educating of children.
Surviving is her husband of 67 years Clyde Bruggman, children Kathleen Lee of Batavia, Ann Marie (late Lawrence) Okon of West Seneca, Lisa (Charles) Norris of Attica, David (Debra Harvey) of Attica, Sheila Conwell of Depew, Eric (Kimberly) of Attica, and Jennifer (Richard) Wagner of Attica, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, siblings Gerald (Joyce) Ignatz of Wyoming, Lenore (late Edward) Shapiro of Geneseo, Paul (Barbara) Ignatz of Middleport, Carol (late Ernest) LaVigne of Geneseo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, Dianne is reunited in death with her brother Milton (Milagros) Ignatz.
Per Dianne’s request, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Ss. Joachim & Anne - St. Vincent Worship Site - at 50 East Ave. in Attica. Burial in St. Vincent's Cemetery in Attica will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wyoming Community Hospital Foundation (with the intent of funding activities/staff breakroom upgrades) at 400 N Main St, Warsaw, NY 14569, or Ss. Joachim & Anne Church - Buildings and Grounds Fund - at 50 East Ave, Attica, NY 14011.
