It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christie L. Hancock, who left us on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at the age of 49. Christie was born on Thursday, August 26th, 1976, in Warsaw.
Christie is survived by her devoted companion of 30 years, Gary Holley of Attica, and her beloved dogs, Niki and Rowdy, who brought her immense joy. She leaves behind her mother, Deborah Gilmore of Akron; her father, Richard C. (Barbara) Hancock Jr. of Batavia; her sister, Tami Sutton; and her brother, Jamie Hancock.
A proud graduate of the class of 1995, Christie was a dedicated part-time lead sales associate at Dollar General in Attica. She found joy in baking, attending races, and taking long walks. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
A celebration of Christie's life is being lovingly planned by her family, where her spirit will be honored. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Christie's memory to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 676910, Dallas, TX 75267-6910.
