Ardith Bookmiller

Ardith P. (Pope) Bookmiller, 95, of Attica, passed away on May 29, 2026, at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

Ardith was born on July 8, 1930, in Attica, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Cook) Pope.

Ardith was an avid sports fan, watching and later listening to the Buffalo Bills, Sabers, Nascar, and the Blue Jays. Family was the most important part of her life. She found great joy in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Karen Jellison, Karol Quartley, Kentt (Carol) Monteleone, and Keith (Jane) Monteleone; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law, David Cianciola, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ardith is predeceased by her husbands, John Monteleone (1971) and Edward Bookmiller(1997); daughter, Kerry Cianciola, and granddaughter, Tracey Dwyer.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica. Ardith will be laid to rest at a private burial in Johnsonburg Cemetery.
