L. Bernard Stedman

L. Bernard Stedman, 85, a lifelong dairy farmer of Attica, passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2014. He was born March 20th, 1929 in Attica, NY. He was the husband of the late Winifred Stedman and the son of the late Leo J. and Minna (Marley) Stedman.

He had a great love for horses and agriculture that he enjoyed sharing with others. He was a Wyoming County Fair Board member and served as superintendent of the Draft Horse Show. Bernard was the past president of the Western New York Draft Horse Club, and member of the Upstate Milk Cooperative.

Bernard is survived by four children; Nancy Battaglia of Rochester, “Buster” Bernard (Janet) Stedman of Attica, Patricia Mitzel of Attica, Barbara Hopkins of Orangeville; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Stedman of Attica, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother Paul Stedman and sisters Margaret Bausch and Helen Wheeler.

A Memorial Service will be May 2, 2014, 2:30p.m. at St. Joachim & Anne Roman Catholic Parish, 50 East Ave., Attica
