John "Jack" Edward Ostertag

John "Jack" Edward Ostertag, 87, of Attica, NY, went to heaven Tuesday August 5, 2014. He was born to the late Ted and Alice Ostertag, October 21, 1926, in Attica and was married to the late Jean Zinke Ostertag. Jack and Jean had ten children: Suzanne, Jacque, Nancy, Mary, Jeanne, John, Bettie, Mark, Robin, and the late Patricia.

He was a Building Construction Engineer in Charge for New York State General Services Design & Construction Group and a Consulting Project Manager for Construction Management Companies. Jack was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army and Merchant Marines. He was a regular at the American Legion, Moose Club and VFW. Jack was also an avid boater and fisherman. In his younger years he was a great athlete and loved bowling and golf.

A viewing will be held from 2:00–4:00 and 7:00–9:00 Monday, Aug. 11th at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, NY 14011. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, Aug. 12th at Sts Joachim & Anne Church 50 East Ave, Attica NY 14011.

Jack was a huge Buffalo Bills fan and is the great grandfather to former Buffalo Bills QB Jim Kelly’s late son, Hunter.
