Irving "Ike" Beitz

Irving “Ike” Beitz, 89 of Attica, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Batavia. He was born October 25, 1931 in Attica, to the late George and Lena (Cortwright) Beitz.

Ike retired as Postmaster in Livonia, he also served in Attica, Wyoming and Avon. He was a US Navy Veteran, Korean War and member of Harder O’Donnell American Legion Post 734 in Attica. Ike volunteered for 20 years as an AARP Tax Return Preparer. He spent many years as referee at local high school basketball games and was a member of Attica Lion’s Club. Ike was an avid golfer and was a member of the Attica Golf Club for over 70 years.

Ike is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn (Simet) Beitz, daughter Ellen Woods, son Timothy Beitz, granddaughter Jennifer (Zach) Jakubowski, brother-in-law Brian (Ann) Simet, along with many nieces and nepehws.

Friends are invited to an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Sts. Joachim & Anne Parish, 50 East Ave, Attica, NY 14011.
