Eugene N. Smith

July 25, 1938 — April 27, 2021

Eugene N. Smith, 82, of Attica, passed away peacefully at Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1938 in Buffalo to to the late Felix (Harriett Bryant) Smith. He is preceded in death by grandson Aiden Durmotte Smith, siblings, Paul, Willard, Joseph, Bernard and John Smith; Agnes Ortez, Margaret Reddus, Barbara Cambell.

Mr. Smith was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Janet (Nicholson) Smith of Attica, children, Gordon (Roseanne) Smith of Lancaster, Kathleen (Anthony) Cangianiello of Java, James Smith of Attica, Andrew (Julie) Smith of Lancaster, sister Eileen (Vincent) Ventien of Tonawanda; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

An 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 4th at Sts Joachim & Anne RC Church, 50 East Ave., Attica, NY 14011.

The church will be restricted to 50% of their normal capacity. Face coverings and social distancing are mandatory. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Gateway Home, 91 Main Street, Attica, NY 14011.
