Edmund J. Reding, 100, of Attica passed away on January 26, 2019. He was born in Attica on July 26, 1918 to the late Elmo and Loretta (Petz) Reding. Ed was predeceased by his wife of 74 years; MaryJane (Roetzer) Reding on April 19, 2017; his sister Joan Waite; brothers Bernard Reding and brother Father Aquinas, OFM.

Ed retired from the Laird Brothers Dry Cleaners in Varysburg. He loved the outdoors and particularly enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his children, Thomas (Rita) Reding of S. Byron, Barbara (James) Manning of Half Moon Bay, NY., Betty (Tim Putnam) Reding of Rochester, Sue Reding of Arcade, Michael (Connie) Reding of Lakeville, OH., and John (Tammy) Reding of Attica; his siblings, Richard (Mary Jane) Reding, Mary Beechler, and Robert (Joann) Reding all of Attica; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling Hours will be held from 2PM – 5PM on Sunday February 3, 2019 at Marley Funeral Home, LLC. 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. A 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 4, 2019 Sts. Joachim & Anne RC Church 50 East Ave. in Attica.
