Ann K. Colton

November 20, 1935 — May 23, 2016

Ann K. Colton, 80, of Attica passed peacefully on May 23, 2016 at Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was born November 20, 1935 in Batavia to the late Chauncey S. (Catharine Cornwell) Kibbe.

Mrs. Colton is preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles M. Colton who passed in 2013; niece Kelly Colton.

Ann was a longtime member of the Attica Golf Club, an avid bowler and made it a point to attend all of her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events especially their high school athletics. She was a lifetime member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Attica. Ann loved her family dearly and cherished the time that she spent with them.

She is survived by her sons Thomas (Sherry) of Attica; James (Pamela) of Rochester; John (Elena) of Attica; daughters Susan Colton of Attica; Catharine (Richard) Smithley of Attica; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren along with one niece and one nephew.

Friends are invited to call on Friday May 27, 2015 from 4-8 PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wyoming County SPCA 808 Creek Road Attica, NY 14011 or to All Babies Cherished 445 Ellicott St. Batavia, NY 14020.
